Therapist and mom of 16 month old so oh goodness do I feel you. Yes yes yes honor the rhythms that feel nourishing and those are usually slow and spacious, right? The first three yrs are the most sacred and we must show them they matter most. Integrity and heart centered alignment I believe always wins over forced productivity 🙏🏻

Hi Blake, you described your various roles and I felt tired reading them! It is okay to do less. Mabe a podcast is a better way to reach people than Substack. You can change your decisions whenever it is best for you, your wife, your child your practice and your business. We will survive. Daniel

Yeah I know it’s okay to do less 😊 that’s why I don’t share many letters on Substack consistently right now. Thanks for the encouragement.

Thanks Blake for your post. It was just yesterday that I was talking with a family member about what you’ve written about ‘honoring one’s capacity’. Thank you for providing the vocabulary for what I have for a long time struggled to aptly describe.

I do wonder though, if there is a clear distinction between honoring one’s capacity versus a fear of getting into the heart of the mess and not run an avoidance tactic by clevery labeling what the issue is and allowing it to take its course? I hope I am making sense?

Being a therapist yourself am sure you are well aware that avoidance today will mean up ahead it’s the same issue ricocheting back at you and probably in a morphed version.🫣🫣 So as the issue comes, as you have said, it’s probably best to allow them rather than the former.

I do honestly hope that in my own journey I am not running an avoidance tactic while sneakily labeling it as honoring my capacity. 😊🙏🏾

Thanks again for your story.
