Wow I'm grateful to have found your newsletter. It definitely speaks my language. I think its a necessary in my life this year as last year was a doozy! Do you offer online therapy sessions separate from this? I'm looking for one to support through this season of my life of major transitions. Connecting creative, spiritual and mental to wholeness.
Noted! That office with a window I know feels much better than a Zoom room.😅 Since moving to a small town in the Dominican Republic I'm limited to finding a therapist that can do zoom room. Thanks for letting me know. 🙏🏾 I will continue enjoying your newsletter which is good therapy in itself!
Hi! I really enjoyed reading your post. It resonates a lot with my mission... Thank you for sharing! I've just been accepted into my MFT Master 🙌 so excited!!! ... For some reason, I ended up here reading your post! I'm so glad that there are more people doing/sharing good things. - Btw, that comma doesn't belong there, hahaha (based on my practiced eye 😜). Looking forward to reading your post.
Ahh you got me lol! Glad you found your way here too. I’d also highly recommend Eliza Butlers work as well. She’s a fellow therapist and has a wonderful publication.
Your photo is very like the one of myself that I posted on my About page... Here we are showing ourselves in our words and simultaneously hiding ourselves in our photos! This post is a lovely start to what I'm sure will be a beautiful community. I'm glad to be here. 🤝😊
Just subscribed and can’t wait for more! I just published something that addresses similar things- “should we do things just for the sake of doing them?” and explores my fears about writing. If you read it I hope it resonates with you in the way this post resonated with me :)
I’m glad this resonated with you! I look forward to reading yours. I wrote this post about a year ago, so you never know when a piece of yours will come across and resonate with somebody. It’s quite a cool thing when it happens!
So glad I’ve come across your Substack Blake. Everything you said in 20 Things I’ve learned as a therapist resonated so strongly with me that I just had to subscribe - looking forward to reading more of your work 🧡
Blake, I’m a (now retired) Family Therapist and a Substack regular reader in Austin, Texas. I’ve found this practice to be useful and was fortunate to essentially ‘stumble’ on your intro to your own Substack. I wish you a positive journey and the literally joy of becoming a part of many’s positive journeys of self-exploration.
Welcome! I’m glad you came across this and that it’s encouraging to you. If I were you, I wouldn’t delete it since working on something and publishing it is valuable! You could just write an intro post for your next one and then pin it at the top of your page.
I recommend follow Sarah Fay on here. She offers lots of helpful tips for beginners! Has a whole feed for Substack Newbies

Thank you! Glad you found yourself here. Right now I’m only able to provide therapy to people who reside in Tennessee.

Thank you for the kind works Michelle 🙏
I think that "there’s a lot to unpack there"- but you did a great job bringing it to life👍
As there always is Steve 😂
